The Mad River Township Trustees will hold a special meeting August 5, 2025 at 7:30 am for the purpose of a public nuisance complaint and to seek legal advice. The meeting will be held in the Champaign County Prosecutors office at 200 .N Main St. Urbana, Ohio 43078.

Notice of Public Hearing

The Mad River Township Trustees, Champaign County, OH, will hold a public hearing concerning proposed amendments to the Mad River Township Zoning Resolution on August 7, 2025 at 7:00 PM at the Mad River Township Hall. The building address is 2773 Vance Road, St. Paris, Ohio 43072.

The proposed amendments, initiated by motion of the Zoning Commission, propose to amend the zoning district of the following properties:

The Mad River Township Zoning Commission is proposing changes to the property at 5833 State Rout 55 located on corner of State Route 55 and Coffin Station Road from R-2 Medium Density Residential to B-2 Local Business at the request of Robert Heitman (Terre Haute Mall LLC).

The text and map(s) of the proposed amendment will be available for examination at the St. Paris Public Library between the hours of 9:00 AM and 7:00 PM Monday – Tuesday and 9:00 AM and 6:00 PM Wednesday – Thursdays and 9:00AM and 5:00 PM on Friday and 9:00 AM and 12:30 PM on Saturday for a period of 10 days prior to the public hearing. The building address is 127 E Main St, St. Paris Ohio 43078.

At the conclusion of the hearing the Trustees will vote to adopt it or not.
